The gulf

La Francesca is situated in a bay facing the sea with three little gulfs, west-facing the National Sea Park of the Cinque Terre. A wide, protected area designated to preserve biodiversity and habitat and characterized by alternating rocky beds and sandy bottoms, which boast an interesting marine fauna and colonies of coloured sea-fans.

The rich meadows of Posidonia, thanks to their oxygenating power, are a safe place for fish to lay eggs. The sea-area before the Resort has been included in the Cetacean's Sanctuary, created to safeguard and protect dolphins' and whales' passage.

The beach

It can be reached by a lane that from the restaurant leads to the sea or by a stairway (40 m elevation gain). A small gravel bay with crystal-clear water: an imposing breakwater barrier creates a pool for children and protects the beach from eastern sea storms. It is nice to enjoy a sea holiday far from noise and crowds, swim into the depths or sunbathe under the gazebo. For children there is a special swimming pool by the sea (open June 15th to September 15th).

You can sunbathe on the sunroof, equipped with shower, while hammocks will allow you a revitalising doze.
