Ingrid Thulin among the guests of la Francesca

Remembering a special friend.

In January 1981 I had just started shooting at the RAI (Italian State Television) of Milano my first film called L'attesa (The wait), with Ingrid Thulin as the only performer. She was locked with a guinea pig in a kitchen corner of her home, collapsed because of an earthquake.

I owe the great Swedish actress, splendid performer and collaborator of film directors such as Ingmar Bergman, Luchino Visconti, Alain Resnais, Marco Ferreri, my gratitude and affection for accepting to work with me - Marco De Poli - a young inexperienced director, at the realization of an avant-garde and low-cost film (that was presented at Venice Film Festival in September).
